What Services Do You Offer?
We partner with all management and owners to train, at our expense, you and your deli staff in proper product handling, sanitation, companion selling, customer service techniques, and how to establish and maintain par levels for better inventory controls. Upon delivery we rotate all stock, set displays, and check sell by dates on every piece of Boar's Head product for your safety as well as ours.
Does Metro West Provisions Have Minimums?
No! Minimums are not required when choosing us as your premium Boar's Head deli meats and cheeses provider. Being a small business, we understand the challenges associated with cash flow. You should also know that our Commitment to Service is exactly the same for the small independent as it is for the large food chains we service. We hope to establish a working partnership with all our customers that will give us the opportunity to be the preferred brand in your deli case and / or on your menu. We also have the ability to break cases, for those who need just one piece of specialty product with the rest of their order.
Can Your Products Be Frozen?
We do not recommend freezing Boar's Head meats and cheeses. Freezing affects both texture and flavor. However, if you do choose to freeze any of our fine products, be sure to defrost under refrigeration.
I Have A Sensitivity To Particular Ingredients. How Can I Find Out Which Meats Contain A Particular Ingredient?
We have product lists available for people with sensitivities to particular ingredients. We always recommend reading product labels to check for any specific allergen concerns. Contact our parent company by calling their Nutritional Line at 800-352-6277. You can also check out our nutritional guide here.
What Does "Uncured" Mean?
Ham's that are labeled uncured have not had commercially prepare sodium nitrates or nitrites added to them. Instead, uncured hams use celery powder and sea salt that contain naturally occurring nitrates or nitrites. The claim of uncured only relates to the curing process and does not mean all-natural.
